St Marys Birthing unit

A project conceived to recognise the demand for high tech environment in child birth coupled with the ability for partners to accompany the Birth mother throughout the process.

We stripped back to shell and core old admin area, installed extensive self supporting steel structures and fitted this unit out to the highest of medical standards as you would expect of a unit required when bringing new life into the world.

Fitted out with 8 ensuite birthing pool units, no touch sensory lighting, heating and water controls for maximum infection control.

With no conventional parking and compound facilities at St Mary’s, Paddington this project was literally bought into site on a “drop zone” principle.

Despite the difficulties associated with the location of this hospital, the parking management of the area we still delivered and  the service was opened on time.
